By signing in with Google or creating an account, you agree to these terms. We only use your name and email address to create and manage your account. We do not sell your information. Disputes are resolved by individual arbitration — not class action lawsuits.

1. Who We Are

Haven is a product of Friendly Tech Help LLC ("Friendly Tech Help," "we," "us," or "our"), a company dedicated to helping individuals and organizations stay safe online. Our principal place of business is in the United States. You can reach us at support@getfriendly.help.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By clicking "Sign in with Google," creating an account, or otherwise using Haven, you affirmatively agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use Haven.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access Haven. If you are using Haven on behalf of another person (for example, helping a family member or managing devices for your organization), you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf. We recommend presenting these Terms to the person who will be using the account.

3. Description of Services

Haven provides DNS-based filtering and protection services to help users stay safe online. Current services include:

  • DNS Filtering: Network-level protection that blocks access to malicious websites, phishing attempts, malware, and unwanted content categories.
  • Content Filtering: Customizable filters to block specific categories of content such as adult content, gambling, social media, and more.
  • Ad & Tracker Blocking: Protection against intrusive advertisements and online trackers that compromise your privacy.
  • Protection Profiles: Multiple configurable profiles to apply different filtering rules to different devices or users.
  • Account Dashboard: A personal hub to manage your devices, view activity, and configure protection settings.

We may add, modify, or discontinue services at any time with reasonable notice to users.

4. Eligibility

Haven is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using Haven, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. Haven is designed to help families and organizations protect their networks and is committed to making its services accessible and easy to use for all ages.

5. Account Registration and Google Sign-In

To access Haven, you may sign in using your Google account or create an account with email and password. When you choose to sign in with Google, Haven requests access to the following information from your Google account:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture (if available)

We use this information solely to create and manage your Haven account. We do not access your Gmail messages, Google Calendar, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data. We do not request or store your Google password.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and Haven credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@getfriendly.help if you suspect any unauthorized access to your Haven account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Haven only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use Haven to circumvent legal obligations or court orders;
  • Attempt to bypass or disable Haven's filtering for devices you do not own or have authority over;
  • Harass, defame, or harm other users or third parties;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Haven's systems or another user's account;
  • Use Haven for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of Haven;
  • Use Haven to collect or harvest personal information about other users.

7. Subscription and Billing

Haven offers subscription-based services with various plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.

  • Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period. You will not be charged during the trial, but a valid payment method is required.
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan).
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

8. User-Submitted Content

When you submit device configurations, custom filtering rules, or other content to Haven, you grant Friendly Tech Help LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store that content for the purpose of providing and improving our services. We will handle all such content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You represent that any content you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate the rights of any third party.

9. Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key points:

  • We collect only your name and email address via Google Sign-In to create your account.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
  • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
  • You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@getfriendly.help.

10. Disclaimers

Haven is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive to provide effective DNS filtering and protection, Haven does not guarantee that its services will block all harmful content or prevent all security threats, and nothing in Haven's services constitutes legal, financial, or cybersecurity advice.

We are not responsible for the actions of third parties or for content on third-party websites. DNS filtering is one layer of protection and should be used alongside other security measures.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Friendly Tech Help LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Haven, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you, in the aggregate for all claims arising under or relating to these Terms, shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or $50 if you have not made any payments).

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Haven at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Haven at any time and may request deletion of your account by contacting support@getfriendly.help.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are significant, notify you by email. Your continued use of Haven after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

This section affects your legal rights. It requires individual arbitration of most disputes and waives your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Informal Resolution First. Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@getfriendly.help and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve it within 30 days of receiving your notice.

Binding Arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and Friendly Tech Help LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Haven (collectively, "Disputes") will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. By agreeing to arbitration, you and we each waive the right to a trial by jury.

Arbitration Rules. Disputes will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at www.adr.org. The arbitrator will apply the laws of the State of Arizona. Arbitration may be conducted by phone, video, or written submissions unless the arbitrator determines an in-person hearing is necessary.

Opt-Out Right. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by sending written notice to support@getfriendly.help with the subject line"Arbitration Opt-Out." If you opt out, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.

Exceptions. Either party may seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief in court to prevent irreparable harm. Claims that qualify for small claims court may be brought there instead of arbitration.

Class Action Waiver. You and Friendly Tech Help LLC agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement in this section shall be null and void.

15. Governing Law

Except as governed by the arbitration agreement in Section 14, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

16. Copyright / DMCA

Friendly Tech Help LLC respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on Haven infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on Haven;
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
